What is Microdosing?
Microdosing is taking a very small amount of a psychedelic substance. It's about 1/10th to 1/20th of a normal dose. You do this on a regular schedule. The goal is to get the benefits without the trip.
Why Do People Microdose?
People say microdosing can help with:
- Creativity and solving problems
- Focus and concentration
- Mood and emotions
- Energy and motivation
- Anxiety and depression
Popular Schedules
The Fadiman Protocol
This is a popular schedule from Dr. James Fadiman:
- Day 1: Take a microdose.
- Day 2: Don't take a dose.
- Day 3: Don't take a dose.
- Day 4: Start over.
The Stamets Stack
This schedule from Paul Stamets mixes psilocybin, Lion's Mane mushroom, and niacin. You take it for 5 days, then take 2 days off.
How to Start
If you want to try microdosing:
- Learn as much as you can. Know the laws in your area.
- Start with a very small dose. You can slowly take more if you need to.
- Write down how you feel in a journal.
- Be patient. It can take a few weeks to notice any changes.
- Think about talking to a coach who can help.

Is Microdosing Right for You?
Microdosing isn't for everyone. If you have a medical condition, take medication, or have a history of psychosis, talk to a doctor first.
"Microdosing is a tool, not a magic pill. It works best when you also have a healthy lifestyle and work on yourself." - Dr. Sarah Chen
