Long-term follow-up (average 4.5 years) of psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy for cancer-related psychiatric distress showed sustained reductions in anxiety, depression, hopelessness, and demoralization, with approximately 60-80% of participants maintaining clinically significant improvements.
